The latest transfer (1915 births, 1930 marriages, 1940 deaths) is being filmed and will be available some time in 2012.

Birth registrations: 1854-1903 (next update January 2025) Marriage registrations are available 75 years after the date of marriage, and death registrations are available 20 years after the date of death
On 4 June 2004, an amendment to the Vital Statistics Act (SBC 2004, c.55) extended future release dates for copies of birth records from 100 years to 120 years after the date of birth in order to enhance security around the release of birth information and ensure that the personal information and privacy of centenarians is protected.
